Alex Parker is an LA-based actor working the creative gamut: on set directing and producing content for Paper Ball Pictures, a boutique production company combining passionate filmmaking with eco-friendly ideals, as well as on the board of directors with The Porters of Hellsgate Theatre Company, specializing in the works of William Shakespeare.

HollyShorts film fest was a blast! The BAFTA-qualifying short TREACLE world premiered at BFI Flare, the largest LGBTQIA+ film fest in Europe, and played at the TCL Chinese Theatres for the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts film festival. In the film Alex plays a bitter, divorced father to humorous effect. Written by and starring April Kelley of Mini Productions, this is a slice-of-life story giving a voice to the "B" in LGBTQIA+ made in collaboration with the Bisexual Resource Center. Watch the trailer below, and check out Alex’s scene on the Media tab!

Alex recently directed DOUBLE FALSEHOOD for The Porters, which premiered at the 10th annual Hollywood Fringe in the first weeks of June; the show transferred to The Porters space in North Hollywood to run in rep with THE TWO NOBLE KINSMEN through August 11th. Next up for The Porters? ROMEO & JULIET plays through DEC 1!

Scholars are still debating whether Theobald’s ‘discovery’ was legitimate or just a clever piece of deception, but The Porters of Hellsgate have provided a solid, well-acted production that will allow the audience to judge for themselves; for that Double Falsehood merits a GOLD MEDAL.
