Alex Parker is an LA-based actor working the creative gamut: on set directing and producing content for Paper Ball Pictures, a boutique production company combining passionate filmmaking with eco-friendly ideals, as well as on the board of directors with The Porters of Hellsgate Theatre Company, specializing in the works of William Shakespeare.

BAFTA-qualifying short TREACLE world premiered at BFI Flare, the largest LGBTQIA+ film fest in Europe, and recently hit stateside at Frameline in San Francisco, the longest-running, largest and most widely recognized LGBTQIA+ film exhibition event in the world. Alex was thrilled to attend both! In the film he plays a bitter, divorced father. Written by and starring April Kelley of Mini Productions, this is a slice-of-life story giving a voice to the "B" in LGBTQIA+, and is raising awareness and money for LGBTQIA+ charities.

The 10th annual Hollywood Fringe wrapped up in June, but encore performances happen all July long! Alex stars in THE SCORPION AND THE FROG for The 6th Act, with one FINAL performance July 27th at 2pm!

Alex directed DOUBLE FALSEHOOD for The Porters, and the show played at Hollywood Fringe in the first weeks of June; the show is now in rep with THE TWO NOBLE KINSMEN in North Hollywood through August.

TREACLE, directed by Rosie Westhoff
BAFTA-qualifying short giving voice to the B in LGBTQIA+ featuring Alex Parker in the only other speaking role.

Scholars are still debating whether Theobald’s ‘discovery’ was legitimate or just a clever piece of deception, but The Porters of Hellsgate have provided a solid, well-acted production that will allow the audience to judge for themselves; for that Double Falsehood merits a GOLD MEDAL.
